Time Capsule Project

This project consisted of taking artifacts of current time and placing them in a time capsule to be burried at the Civic Center in East Los Angeles. It is to be re-opened in the year 2059 to show future generations what people of our era were like, were interested in and to learn about our moments.

Mexican Consulate Joins ELACYC

We are proud to say the Mexican Consulate will be joining ventures with the East Los Angeles Community Youth Center beginning in 2014. Both entities will work in a joint effort to assist the community of East Los Angeles.
PROJECTS
The Green The ELACYC Project

Summer of 2013 concluded Phase 1 of The Green The ELACYC Project. Volunteers from the community and children from the center participated in the planting and installation of irrigation equipment at the center.

Computer Lab Project
​
The gracious computer donation from Barrio Planners Incorporated allowed for the Computer Lab Project to take off. Through the establishment of this Computer Lab, children are able to do homework, receive tutoring and especially excel tremendously in school.
